Heritage charm by the wharf
Steveston Townhouses
$1.1M to $1.6M for a character or newer townhome
Who This Area Is For
Steveston townhouses for sale carry a premium, and that premium buys a genuine sense of place. This is Richmond's oldest neighbourhood by feel, spanning Steveston Village, Steveston North and Steveston South: a working fishing harbour, heritage canneries, and a walkable village core of shops and restaurants that the rest of the city doesn't really have. It suits families who want to raise kids somewhere with an actual Main Street, retirees who want to walk to coffee every morning, and anyone who's decided that character is worth the commute. It's the least transit-connected of the areas here, so it's a harder sell if you don't drive.
Complexes Worth Knowing
Moncton Street heritage conversions
The village's main heritage street, with older buildings sensitively converted into townhomes, steps from Fisherman's Wharf.
No. 2 Road strata townhomes
Newer, family-oriented strata developments a short walk from the village core.
Chatham Street pocket
A mix of newer townhome construction close to the village core and the elementary school.
Princess Avenue area
Closest to the working harbour itself. Expect a premium for proximity to Fisherman's Wharf and Garry Point Park.
Schools & Transit
Steveston runs on buses, not SkyTrain, so budget more driving time to the Canada Line than you would from City Centre or McLennan North. The upside is Steveston's own walkability: village core, Garry Point Park, and the waterfront are all reachable on foot from most of the neighbourhood. As with any area, confirm the specific elementary and secondary school catchment for an address before relying on it. Steveston's boundaries are worth double-checking directly with the district.
